Herculean ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our Service.

2.1 Search Queries & Responses

Your search queries and the responses generated by AI models are processed in real-time to provide the Service. Herculean does not store, log, or retain your search queries on our servers. Queries are transmitted directly to third-party LLM providers (see Section 4).

2.2 Local Storage Data

Your browser's local storage tracks daily search count to enforce the 5-search free tier limit. This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to Herculean servers.

2.3 Analytics & Event Data

We use PostHog to collect anonymized analytics events such as:

PostHog does not collect your search query text. Event data is anonymized and cannot be tied back to you personally.

2.4 Server Logs

Standard web server logs may record your IP address, request timestamp, and HTTP status. These logs are retained for security and troubleshooting purposes and are deleted after 30 days.

Herculean uses minimal cookies. PostHog analytics may place cookies to track sessions. You can disable analytics cookies by blocking PostHog in your browser or adjusting privacy settings. Disabling analytics will not prevent use of the Service.

Herculean is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete it promptly.

We employ industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, secure API communication, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be announced via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
